Hello, It's Margo
I'm a

MK5060 was founded and is run by Margo de Groot – Coenen since 2003.

To empower people in their day-to-day lives through education is a cause that I champion above all. Access to information, access to education and equal access to educational resources make for better societies and I am deeply committed to putting my talents to work to achieve this.

My work is and will always be firmly grounded in my strongly interdisciplinary M.A. in Social Studies of Science & Technology. I was part of the first cohort ever to start this study. The pioneering spirit combined with the academic rigor that we lived and breathed during those  years has very much shaped my professional life.

Since graduating in 1996 I travelled and worked the globe, taking on precisely those projects and programmes that do not quite fit regular boxes. My clients are primarily knowledge driven organisations including universities, science centres, libraries, archives, museums and their network organisations. Occasionally I teach, mainly by invitation on specific topics corely related to my expertise.

My education at a glance:

  • M.A. Social Studies of Science & Technology, Maastricht University
  • M.A. Applied Ethics, Utrecht University
  • Executive Diploma in Protocol Basics and Protocol Applied, ISPD, Brussels
  • Executive seminar Power and meaning in organisations

My experience at a glance

I am happily married to Harm and Boris-the-golden retriever completes the posse. I am the proud owner and happy driver of a 2cv and I love to ride my bicycle around the world, notably to places where good pickles and great wines are produced. To bring some of those goodies home an iconic Bullitt Blue Bird cargo race bicycle has joined our already extensive bicycle park.

For fine minds the art is to mix work and parties (“Werken en feesten vormt schooner geesten”)
